Abstract

In spite of increasing interest, posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is not a common procedure due to technical difficulties and relatively poor results compared with those of other ligament reconstruction of the knee. 5 patients with posterior instability after primary PCL treatment were undergone revision reconstruction of PCL and we tried to find the cause of failure in primary surgery. It was suggested that operative treatment of PCL failed due to incorrect diagnosis overlooking posterolateral instability, incorrect positioning of femoral and tibial tunnel and other technical problems. We concluded that revision PCL reconstruction with appropriate techniques was helpful in the recovery of function of the knee.
